. . . . . . Teach our youth skills and talents that enable them to be self-sufficient in a variety of situations
Teach them personal responsibility and maturity
Teach young people their duty to their country, their state, and their families - and
how to look at their own communities with an eye toward service and conscience.

Shooting Skills
Map-reading (Orienteering)
Rapelling
Hand Signals
Camping Skills
Self-reliance Techniques
During the training of these skills, they naturally become
more mature, more responsible, and more self-assured.
(to a point...they ARE after all, KIDS!)

N.E.O.D.F. also offers a Pathfinders Program for family members
between the ages of 5 - 11.

Similar to a 'Cub Scout' pack, this group focuses on more age-related
tasks and looks for ways to instill a sense of
'service to community' to these "little ones" at an early age.

Cadet and Pathfinder training is held with the regular members of
N.E.O.D.F. once per month in Columbiana County. There are also
opportunities to train with other units from across the state in
Zanesville once a month. Equipment requirements
are slightly modified for these younger members.

If you would like to see your youngster involved in this program,
contact us to find out how to become involved in service to your
community, yourself, and pass that gift of knowledge on
through your children...
